Audrey does Anglesey

Woke up this morning feeling slightly delicate after last night's hen do exploits (which ended with us all drinking Prosecco and watching a band on Beech Road) but didn't let it hold us back on our plans for the day.

Angus and I decided that we needed to face our demons and hit the road and try staying overnight somewhere again with Audrey. We were so put off by our trip to Northumberland in the early days with her and have pretty much stayed at home ever since. But we have a trip with friends to the Cotswolds planned in a few weeks and we felt as though we should put the travel cot through its paces before then.

So this morning when we got up, we did a quick search online and found a late cottage deal in Anglesey and hit the road. Angus is off for two days together this week so it seemed ideal.

The minute we got on the road we knew we had done the right thing. The drive was easy and the weather brightened as soon as we hit Conway. The cottage is stunning and surrounded by beautiful farmland (I had an amusing incident involving being chased by some chickens and falling in a cow pat in some white pumps, you couldn't make it up!)

Took Audrey to Beaumaris for teatime. She was mesmerised by the beautiful scenery and was quite content to just sit on the grass and look at the view (see pic). Finished the day with tasty fish and chips on the seafront in the evening sunshine. This was such a good idea! Now please sleep tonight Audrey!
