A walk in the woods

I woke in the night again so Mr C had to wake me at 9am as I needed to cook for Marion and Ken coming for lunch. It was lovely to catch up as we’d not seen them for ages. I made French Cake Sale, with mushrooms and spinach and a tomato, onion, green pepper, radish and walnut salad with a pomegranate molasses and sumac dressing. It turned out well - so well there’s no left-overs.

We had a quick walk in the woods between showers.

The flood insurance saga continues - a chap came to put in the insulation properly in the store room - they’d left gaps last time. We still need the painters back as they didn’t sand the wood down so it is all gritty under the paint.
