Magnolia soulangeana

Back on the 6th March I posted a shot of one of the Magnolia buds, and said every year I intend to record their development and never have.  Today after I had given the grass its first cut I wandered about looking for a blip.  I remembered to have a look at the buds and sure enough, they had changed.

So not a photographically important shot but a shot to record the changes.  As you will see the outer sepals have split, presumably as the bud grows.
