Brown Thrasher
Our calendar was completely empty today. I had hoped to read my Kindle but little jobs kept cropping up. Hubby continued his collection of info for the estate book. He keeps thinking of other data someone would need in the event of our deaths. And I have not been great in keeping track of life insurance and the like so it took some digging. My will is pre-hubby so I will have to tackle that next. Ugh! While doing dishes, my brown thrasher came to the suet. It has an orange flavor that he/she seems to really like. The lighting was better with the suet shot but you can see its belly feathers better in the ground view. So I included both. I enjoyed watching it pound the ground later looking for bugs. Not sure I have seen a mate in all these years - strange. Maybe it stays close to the forest (their typical habitat). I made a time consuming dinner for a change. It seems to take forever to wash and clean fresh kale. It didn’t help that the grands had spilled some of the mushroom soil in the curly leaves. Yuck. Hubby will appreciate my efforts. Otherwise, we’ll have a nice nap with the kitties and I’ll finish the weekend with a new “book”. Hoping your weekend went well. Have a blessed Holy Week. Thanks for the visit and all the stars and comments lately. Stay safe.
“Mr. Brown Thrasher ...
Thrasher in the plum tree Who ya hidin' from
Chirpin' in the canopy Bold as the sun
A chirp to the Old Crow A whistle for Bobwhite Quail
A bow and a wink for a Yellow Swallowtail” - Randolph L Wilson
