Fellowship

Started the day with a much-needed run, then breakfast with the usual crew. B nearly choked on a tomato. Thankfully she survived, which also spared me the embarrassment of having to attempt the Heimlich maneuver. Lovely to see Bridget and Max and give them both a cuddle. Had a browse of the market stalls and picked up a new wanky Dak coffee from the Steam Room. The salesperson said it would 'blow my head off', a rather bold claim that I intend to put to the test tomorrow.

Completely forgot it was S's birthday today but managed to rustle up a pretty good gift at short notice and went round to theirs for tea and cake. She decided she'd like to spend her birthday watching Lord of the Rings (extended editions of course). Watched a fair bit of the Fellowship with them and remembered just how much I love those films. Later, I managed to read outside for the first time this year and enjoyed closing my eyes and soaking up the warmth of the sun. Did an online Tesco shop so at least I won't starve this week.
