Growing old disgracefully

LIGHT AND SHADE 2

I have been bowled over by all the kind and thoughtful comments following yesterday's blip, here and on Facebook, by direct message and email. It seems to have touched a lot of people and I am glad.

Shade was harder to find today. It has been a great day to catch up in the garden, and (it has to be confessed) fall asleep occasionally on the lounger under the dappled shade of the cherry tree. Cabbages are planted out, sweet peas support constructed and one more battle fought and won in the long campaign to stop the ash trees taking over the hawthorn hedge. I feel a huge benefit from the rest and fit for a day's work tomorrow.

BTW, does anyway know how AnnieBScotland is recovering?
