Dahlia

Continuing saga of cess pool repair.........workmen arrived unannounced at 8.45am to fix the drain.  They had a big lorry and lots of equipment and I didn't know they were coming as I had arranged for friends to come for coffee.  I quickly messaged to tell them alternative parking plans and set about making some cheese scones.  I doubled up on the mixture to have some for the freezer.

Friends arrived and we drank tea and chatted and ate scones.  Weather turned cold and I regretted not lighting the log burner.  We discussed plans for trip to see FH in Winchester and debated a night away as it is a long way to go for lunch?

OH back from golf frozen as the weather had changed but set about repairing tractor tyre which following yesterdays problems had got a puncture.  I did a walk chatting to No.1 who was telling me about her weekend away.  We both managed a walk at the same time and the signal was good.

Home to check the greenhouse which I do every day and was pleased to see one of the dahlias has started sprouting.  These will be wedding table  flowers for No.1 so I was very excited to see progress.

OH streamed the game and watched his team win and I watched the documentary about Bowelbabe - very inspirational lady, but sad story of someone taken far too young.
