Dry Riser

MrsPuff and I went into town this morning, I looked at a new tripod as mine is playing up and the top is not supporting my camera as well as it should. MrsPuff had some prints made and I picked one up, this metallic paper is pretty good and give your images a lot of wow factor.
We had a hand at some street photography and had a look at a photo and painting exhibition, some nice landscapes and the paintings were acrylic on home made flax paper and very nice indeed. I shot this dry riser on an old building. A dry riser is a fire fighting system where the fire Service can run a hose from a hydrant and connect it onto one of these connections and pump water through the sprinkler system.
Last night Millie was at the Canterbury Athletics Awards where she was nominated for Distance Athlete of the Year. This award was won by Rosa Flannigan who is the same age as Millie. Rosa is an Elite Athlete and also in the Performance Potential Team, Training for the next Olympics and beyond. This was an honour for Millie to be nominated and even more impressive for a first year runner, a lot of people can see her potential. Sam Wreford won the Road and Cross Country runner of the Year.
