Bambi

The first thing I saw this morning after opening the curtains!

Dressing gown, camera, tripod from the car, and straight onto the terrace but oh so quietly! Every movement in slow motion, trying to muffle every noise to the minimum. Getting the tripod to the right height to peek through the shrubs, not alerting the birds around the garden and edging my way into a better position seemed to take forever with each tiny click or movement accentuated in the quiet of the morning - but it was worth it!

She was just lying in the field of buttercups directly in front of the house about 200 yards away enjoying the morning sun. I stood in bare feet on the cold stone for about ¾ hour silently watching just enjoying the precious moments quietly before the hubbub of the day! Very beautiful to see and a fabulous start to the Bank Holiday!
