A Real Beauty
We had a very quiet day. Hubby had his follow up with the surgeon who was very pleased. I went along for the ride. We had over 80 cans of turkey pate that Millie will not touch. Hubby was able to return 27 to the grocery store where he bought them. He donated the rest to a well pet clinic. When we first moved the kitties to wet turkey kitty food, they both ate the pate. It was hard to find so we tried “shreds”. They really loved that kind which was even harder to get. We have been stocking up whenever we see any wet food with just turkey - they were eating at least four cans per day. Once they tasted the shreds, they snubbed the pate. Oh well, it went to a good organization. Kim and our WV neighbor will use the dry food. On the way to the grocery store, we passed this old vehicle. The owner of “The Trading Post” is a local boy whose main income is from road paving although they do excavations and other stuff as well. The jury is out on how he made his millions but I have heard he is charitable. He owns a farm that he opened to the public at Christmas. It had family fun events and a great light show. Due to his declining health, the farm is now closed. Before going home, we went out for a yummy pancake lunch. Hubby has packed his car for his early departure tomorrow morning. Dinner is cooked so the rest of the day is ours. Hoping you had a nice day as well. Thanks for stopping by. Be safe. “We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community... Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own.” - Cesar Chavez
