Diary of an Edinburgher

Lazy Sunday

A very lazy morning - watching AM, the Big Question, tennis - anything, really, while catching up with comments and reading the Sunday papers on my iPad. Well past midday before I got out of my jammies! We really couldn't be bothered doing much today, after what felt like a long weekend away, but was just one night - good value!

I'm full of expectation of my new camera arriving this week. They said 'up to 14 days' for delivery. I supposed I'm used to Amazon, who have it packed and sent the same evening. But it's a loooong time to wait!

Not good news on the Uncle A front. He went for his two month xray, and they're not happy with how it's not healing. Surgery is required. What a shame. An eight week waiting list, but hopefully it'll be before then, because that will be when I'm away for extended periods in the summer. I'm so disappointed for him.

However, tomorrow we are going to visit my brother and sis-in-law in their new house out of the city. We'll go via the Garden Centre first for lunch and a suitable house warming pressie.

I will also get a plant for my neighbour, B. In one of my rare bursts of energy today, I moved from the sofa to the window, and spotted her out in her garden. So I scurried out to take a photo have a chat. B knew my grandparents and parents - she's lived in her flat all her life, having had an illustrious career as a language teacher. She has a wee garden, just right size for pottering. She used to have a big rosemary bush that I freely availed myself of over the years. But it was chopped down to facilitate the painting of the railings. A new one is needed.

I intend to spend the rest of the afternoon reading my new book, reading the papers, catching up on blip, but more probably - dozing and snacking.
