A Memorable Day

Not just because I finally got a photo of this little blue tit that has been flitting in and out of the ivy on our stone wall, but because we were able to witness, although only on TV, the coronation of Charles III....

What a day..What a celebration! My sister and I watched it all day long...and actually took photos of the TV images! A bit strange perhaps, but we wanted some kind of souvenir of the occasion.... 

It was a dark and stormy night with lightning, so as instructed in our rental information booklet, we pulled the plug on the TV and wifi..and watched the storm, instead of whatever post-coronation commentary was on TV...We assume that everyone was thrilled with how well it went...and that the celebrations continued well into the night.
