Heartbreak moment...

Harper has been a loving and loved member of the family.

She is a very special dog. Today she is going to a new family, with another dog to play with, grounds to run in, and humans who spend a lot of time walking.

There is no doubt about it - this is the best thing for her. We are moving, our daughter, husband and baby are moving, and the circumstances are such that Harper would get much less exercise than is good for her - and too much time on her own around the house as well. She will be happy as long as she continues to be well cared for. And we have taken very good care that this will be so.

But my goodness it is awful!
