Moorhen chick

Today I went to Haslemere to the 70th birthday of a good friend.  Lots of lovely people there, including my old friend blipper Redflash.  It was great to see her, among all the others.  As the birthday girl had asked for 'no presents, just cake' the table groaned under one delicious confection after another.  To put it elegantly, I feel stuffed!!

So this morning I had a quick scout down the Nuns' Stream for a blip before I went.  This is what I came up with, a very young moorhen chick (?one day old).  There was another one, but they were helpfully scooting in opposite directions.  What funny little things these babies are ;)))
