Summer Day

Sunshine all day, and for the first time this year the patio got too hot to sit outside this afternoon. But we’d used it last night to celebrate our anniversary with bubbles (and tuna for the cats), and I put a load of washing outside to dry after work and took it in (all dry) after less than two hours. 

Otherwise a day of work, gardening and chores, and not enough energy to go for a walk. 

The peony has almost finished blooming. I think it’s just hanging on for the upcoming Pentecost weekend, to keep true to its German name “Pfingstrose” (Pentecost Rose).
