Not on the road

We’ve had a lovely six mile amble today, down the hill to Coalport, across the river bridge and then into Ironbridge.  We thought we’d see more of the river but the foot/cycle path is in the trees.

We stopped off at one mill with lots of craft shops and went to the loo.  I know, too much information, except it’s not, because when I pressed the hot water tap to wash my hands, the fixture, plus spring, shot in the air and water went everywhere.  I left another lady trying to fix it and then heard her calling for her husband.

No coffee shop open until we got to the tile museum, where we had beverages and a pastry of some sort.

The walk got busier as we reached Ironbridge, which was heaving so we didn’t stay long but headed back along the other side until we found the footpath up into the woods, which was blissfully quiet.

Once we got to the Blist’s Hill Victorian Town we dropped down to the Silken path and back up beside the incline to the hotel.

I’ve added a few extras.
