CARRIAGE
Daughter #2 and I went from grey and chilly Hartlepool over the Pennines to warm and sunny Appleby for a lovely lunch with my sister and her husband, after which we went to Murton, where my Mum was born, for a walk. This lady appeared while we were standing by the beck outside where Mum's grandparents used to live (extra), with her beautifully turned-out pony and carriage which reminded A1 and I of Mum's tales of being taken by her grandmother from the village in a pony and trap to shop in Appleby or further afield to the dentist in Kirkby Stephen.
The dog in the other extra looked as though it was posing for a sculptor to make matching statues to adorn the gateposts to a large country house.
