Birthday walk

It was Simon's birthday, yesterday, but I didn't have an opportunity to see him. We made up for that today, though, meeting on Cutting Room Square, and then taking a walk up the Rochdale Canal, chatting, as we usually do, about politics, Brexit, art, and music.

After about three miles, we came off then canal, and walked all the way back along Oldham Road, where I took today's photo, until we reached The Marble Arch, where we had a drank and I gave Simon his birthday present (a copy of 'Be More Pirate' by Sam Conniff).
