Tailend Charolais
Another dry sunny day. Don't want to tempt fate, but we could just about do with a good night's rain.
Went round all the cattle and spotted next door neighbor's 2 Charolais bulls shouting at each other across the road. Went to have a look and noticed they had smashed a couple of pailing rails next to the gate,so wouldn't be surprised if this one ends up out on the road. Also noticed his lack of tail, and plenty of blue antibiotic spray,so presume he has either torn it off or caught it in something and broken it and the vet had to amputate the remains. Who knows.
A trip next door to help wee brother bring in a newly calved cow as the calf hadn't sucked her huge clatchy udder.
Back home and headed off down the road to feed the heifers I took down on Friday.
Then an afternoon spent carting more dung out the shed we need for shearing time.
Nipped off tonight to look another 3 dairy bred bulling heifers near Pathhead. Only bought 2 of them as wasnt taken by the 3rd one.
Back home via Aldi to buy Mrs F some flowers as seemingly it's our 24 th wedding anniversary tomorrow. How time flies when you are having fun !
