Swing seat

Now fully painted, and with a rather scrappy awning made from an old bedspread.

The awning is tied down at the corners, but needs some drawing pins to keep it down.  It will serve to keep at least some of the sun off, and discourage the birds from perching and anointing.  Next step, a seat cushion.

The house painters were here just after 9, and have done a sterling job in the heat.  The garage is nearly finished already, and one end of the house already has two coats.
