Looking for moisture

MK this morning, which was quiet.  This afternoon JJ has been over the back strimming around the fruit trees and cutting back thistles, but leaving patches of them.  Still nothing much around, although a holly blue wandered through the garden this afternoon.

At last we've had a baby robin in the garden, and even a song thrush perched on the fence for a while.

I've no idea what this is, but presume it's predatory.  It is fairly close to the bee boxes, which are being filled for the second time.  Just seen it on Speingwatch and it’s a predatory wasp.  It lays its eggs in caterpillars.

Oh, and I nearly forgot.  It's warm and sunny when sheltered from the wind.  It's SO good to see the sun and feel warm again.
