W-I-D-E on Wednesday: Water
A busy but successful day! I was in the dentist's chair at 9am for planned work on a tooth which had a root canal filling 9 years ago followed by a crown: at a recent checkup the dentist spotted some decay in the remains of the tooth. So he had to remove the crown, deal with the decay, and fit a new crown. It took the poor guy about 45 minutes to get the old crown off...fortunately it's a "dead" tooth so it didn't hurt! It was 10.15 when I left his chair, by which time I had a temporary crown, a slightly lighter wallet(!) and an appointment for the new permanent crown in 2 weeks' time.
Then it was back home to pack for the start of a trip round England over the next few days visiting friends and relatives (I was too busy yesterday to get the packing done).
We were ready to set off on the first leg of our journey (a 170 mile drive) by 4pm so we arrived safely in Macclesfield (where my Editor was brought up) about 9.45. On the way we found a super country pub for a meal, and also had the opportunity (in lovely, soft golden-hour light) to photograph this reservoir by Woodhead Pass for today's Widwed challenge of "Water", hosted by RockArea.
