Flower Friday

Our camera club is running a "summer school" on flower photography for a few weeks - I was involved in running a "practical station" last Tuesday which fortunately went well. The week before, one of our other members demonstrated how she creates composites with flowers on a textured background and I thought I'd give the technique a try today for BikerBear's Flower Friday challenge. This lovely rose is in bloom in our garden at the moment but the gently textured background is from a photo I took some time ago. I need to do a bit more practice with my technique as there's a fine "selection line" round the petals but this'll have to do for today!
