Backlit Hogweed Umbels

We met up with our daughter for coffee / snacks at a garden centre this morning - then the ladies spent ages browsing the plant section looking for garden inspiration - none was found!!

After lunch the sun came out and I went for my walk - I was struck by the light shining through the hogweed flowers, giving a sort of rim light effect.

I was standing underneath this one and looking upwards - which gives some idea of how tall it is.

It was moving around in the breeze and I tried to capture it against the darker tree behind to emphasise the light…
