Chicks to feed

I've got a lot of work to be getting on with today, and will not have the time to get out and about.

This is a quick shot taken through the open back door. The starling is collecting supplied mealworms for its chicks. I suppose I should tidy the yard but the birds will only mess it up again. Besides, there are small insects living and crawling in the grassy bits.

Starlings are a 'red-listed' species meaning they are of the highest conservation concern.
