Meconopsis

I have tried unsuccessfully to grow Meconopsis Blue poppies in my garden. The large oriental papavars grow well but the more delicate Meconopsis just refuses to bloom

I have to content myself with the wonderful collection of ‘blues’ in Branklyn Gardens.

Our first visit this morning was to the Pottery Festival in the grounds of Scone Palace. There is always a challenge and this year the theme was Nursery Rhymes. I made a collage with my favourites which I think are easily recognised ….. sorry no prizes  for guessing.
