The Clown of the Sea …..

…… so called because of the brightly coloured bill and clown like face.

A great day for a boat trip to the May Isle. Fine weather and a calm sea ….. who could ask for anything more!

For safety and preservation of puffin burrows all visitors have to keep to the designated paths …… plenty of them but some are really very narrow.

Once the May Princess has tied up we have a talk from the warden and then everyone heads to the cliff areas where the puffins gather sometimes in groups and sometimes alone and many with beaks full of sand eels.
