In the garden
Finally a day where we didn't have to wake up with an alarm - and we still woke up before 6:30am. So tired!!
Another busy day - we did have a fairly slow start, but Tim then got started on trying to plumb in the dishwasher - only to be thwarted by the odd fittings that were on the existing pipes. Martin, our seller, called round while he was looking at it - he and Liz were on their way to the supermarket - but he wasn't able to throw any light on how it should work. (Tim worked it out himself later, and found some useful parts in his toolbox.)
It was lovely to see Martin again - gave him a big hug - and we then popped outside to see Liz, too (who had been waiting in the car - also gave her a big hug). Lee from next door and his Mum Evelyn were out there, too, about to head out in the car, and we had a good old natter with everyone. Then back in to carry on with a full day of unpacking.
Also had our first Tesco delivery this afternoon. The delivery driver asked if we were just moving in and we had quite a chat with her. (Everyone is so friendly here!) Mentioned how happy we were to see the multipack of toilet rolls (we just have not been able to find those anywhere in all our boxes!) and she said "You can have a poo now!" Lol.
We had a little wander around the garden in the afternoon. Having missed May here, I'm doing 'no-mow June', and was happy to see daisies and buttercups pushing up through the lawn.
I cooked (an easy) dinner in our new kitchen for the first time this evening. We are home! :)
