For Flower Friday

A day of household catching-up, mostly. With garden interludes, in the sunshine. Val and I also managed a short woodland walk, and an ice cream - summer seems to be back again.
Richard went over to visit Simone: all going well so far, she's feeding well and Marianna is OK (though still in considerable post-op pain). My turn tomorrow.
At the end of the evening, R and I watched the 10 o'clock news. Mixed feelings about the Johnson resignation: relief that he's out of parliament, but also a sense that he's just running away from the judgement that his peers there were likely to deliver. No doubt he'll continue to stir up division, where and when he can.
