GRUB'S UP!

A welcome walk around Spion Kop cemetery after mucking out the back yard, taking a car-load of "stuff" to the recycling centre, getting two weeks'-worth of sticky flowers and residue from the big maple trees across the road hosed off the car, and stocking up on a few things for the impending visit from B's aunt and uncle later in the week. The skylarks and meadow pipits are very busy topping up their fledglings with food, or perhaps now it's the youngsters foraging for themselves.

There were plenty of butterflies out in the sun, mostly Common Blues and Small Heaths having territorial disputes with each other, but I saw Dingy Skippers and Whites as well, and more orchids coming up.

And now back to house preparation.
