Took another look at the cars on George St in the morning; overstressing high strung engines to make crowd attracting noises. Saw some of the cars setting off very slowly, in contrast to the racket ..

The Northumberland, Nelson and Abercromby Place street summer party was in the afternoon in East Queen St Gardens. Put together some portable food to take along. Talked to various neighbours, mostly from Northumberland Street. We weren't the youngest attendees, which is a good thing ..
