For a pride month in Covent Garden

Today I met up with some friends in Covent Garden. We went to the Royal Opera House and did a tour there…this included lots of backstage areas including costume stores and watching dancers rehearsing. All very interesting…I have done a tour before but todays was different with a very good guide. We then had a nice lunch in the top floor( air conditioned) restaurant.
I always love the Paul Hamlin/ Floral Hall…see extra of the windows. When this part of the ROH was refurbished in the 1990s the window on the south side ( where there is now a mirror) was moved to Borough Market and is now there as part of the Roast restaurant.
The cafe on the ground floor is open from midday and is a great place for a coffee/ snacks and access to nice toilets, particularly on a warm day as has aircon!

I did go for a brief walk through the stalls etc and saw all the bunting for pride month. It was very hot and humid and I would not have liked to be eating in any of the outdoor restaurants there!
