Wimbledon…

I went with a friend and her daughter, who is home from Grenada to visit Wimbledon…we first did the tour of the grounds for 90 minutes, had lunch in the restaurant and then toured the Museum.  I have done the tour before several years ago but it was different today …we didn’t go into the players areas at all but did go onto Centre Court…see extra ( I was surprised to hear that the Royal Box, currently being constructed, is made afresh each year) we also went onto No 1 Court..which has 12,345 seats..the guide said we would not forget that number!    We went into the press area which has been expanded and to several other areas with lots of info from a good guide. So nice to go there without the massive crowds. All the Wimbledon colour flowers are now making good displays so it’s a good time of year to visit. So many people working there getting things ready for 3rd July when the Championships start.
The museum is very large and contains lots about the history of tennis together with many artefacts and info about more recent players.

I have no tickets for the tennis this year but will watch lots on TV.
Andy Murray still doing well this week at Nottingham and some of the British girls.

Very hot again today .
