Unusually for a Friday I went into work. I wanted to go to two habilitation talks. The talks were super interesting. The first one on open source control of medical devices, in particular controlling a insulin pump with a smart phone app that reacts to readings of a wireless blood sugar sensor. The other talk was on alarm fatigue, in particular the instruments in ICUs that needlessly sound alarms. 

Finally, we got some rain as well.
