Perch Hill

Set off this morning with Sue to go to Sarah Raven’s garden in Kent. Sue had bought me a lunch at one of her open days as a present for my big birthday last year, and we’d finally got around to getting it organised. It was a hot day for a garden visit, but the lunch was very nice (see extra) and the gardens were bursting with gorgeous blooms.

Then we drove to our B&B for the night in a pub not too far away. It was still early so we wandered around the village and ended up on a bench in the churchyard with a great view, where we spent a lovely hour or so chatting and catching up - it’s been a long time since we’ve had quality time together so it was much needed. In fact, we nearly missed dinner because we were talking so long in the cooling evening air.

As we were sitting there, we saw a white squirrel scurry across the churchyard - never seen that before!
