Farranamanagh

Some torrential downpours in the night but another very muggy day. We went off for a yomp this morning before it got too hot and did the Farranamanagh loop. The bog plants thriving - bog cotton in great swathes and the little yellow specks are the bog asphodel, also flourishing. I love the, so yellow and yet so complex when you look at them. None of my blips do them justice, An abundance of teeny white orchids too.
The walk takes you down to the shore which was full of jellies including this vibrant blue specimen. called rather imaginatively - blue jellyfish, and it's a stinger.
Later I went in for a swim elsewhere and it was heavenly, only a few jellies dotted on the high tide mark. I reckon the sea temperature is almost 16C, pretty good,
