Goodbye Iain

'Are we ever going to get married and have babies?' Those are the words that Iain said to Ann in September 1994. Hardly the most romantic of proposals??!! And my human is pretty sure that Iain won't even have remembered saying that? But it's out there now, 'darling', for everyone to see?!! Lol!!

Our friend, Iain, has been staying with us for the last 12 days. Ann met Iain in June 1991 when she moved into her flat in Edinburgh and had a house warming party and invited all the neighbours. Most of the elderly neighbours turned up at 7pm with trays of sausage rolls. Iain (who lived upstairs at the time) turned up at midnight with a bottle of Champagne. And the rest, as they say, is history.............................

30 years ago, my human was a bit besotted with Iain. He played in a band and Ann was an aging groupie. She'd led a very sheltered life!
Fortunately, by the time he said, 'Are we ever going to get married and have babies', Ann knew exactly what he was like, so the answer was NO. And actually he was pretty drunk when he said it, so we're guessing he can't even remember it.

Having said that, Iain is one of the kindest, most generous people that she knows, and he is one of her bestest friends in the whole wide world.
Ann loves Iain....................

She's not 'in love' with him any more. She'd rather have a glass of wine. Lol!!! BUT decades of friendship have to count for something don't they?
Iain will always be one of Ann's 'BFF'.

We've had a lovely 12 days with Iain. Xxxx

Toodles xxxx
