River of Flowers

Clematis Montana

A beautiful day, blue sky, warm and no wind. It clouded over after lunch and a few spots of rain late afternoon.

Another day in the garden: emptied the soil out of 2 deep beds in the veggie garden, then put a sheet of weed proof membrane to stop the raspberries sending suckers up. Planted Asparagus Peas and Kelvedon Wonder peas in one bed, not sure what else to put with them. In the second bed I planted 2 short rows each of Maris Piper and Maris Peer potatoes. Also planted some very small wrinkled potatoes in a large tub, my husband's brother in law had sent them to me!

There were lots of bumble bees around today, they especially like the Aquelegia which has self seeded itself everywhere. The blackbirds were bobbing about helping themselves to the earthworms in the dug beds.

It's Friday again with another weekend upon us, hope everyone has a good weekend x
