So very sad

Today’s blip is very sad, a tribute to our local lollipop man, John, who died suddenly, recently.

As John was the lollipop man just round the corner from our house, I would often see him escorting children across the road to the local primary school.  You could see that the kids and parents thought the world of him, and I remember seeing him many times dressed up or wearing brightly coloured shoes, all to get a smile on the faces of whoever he met.

I remember talking to him and he was an absolute gent, and he even featured as one of my Blips last December.

He will be much missed by all. Here’s a link to the local paper which pays tribute to John.
