Queux Lane

My blip today is of an attractive house in Castel. In addition to the house there is a lovely cobbled driveway and also a milestone.
I have been researching the milestones, the first of which I blipped yesterday. Although most of the known stones are still in their original locations, this particular one is not. It was in fact purchased in an auction of granite pieces around 30 years ago and was positioned outside the buyer's house which fortunately was around 3 miles from town. Its previous location is unknown, but it probably had another use as there is a metal eye embedded in it and there are signs of wear from a rope. Perhaps for mooring a boat or tethering an animal.
