My perfect shot would be of a purple martin gliding back into the colony with its latest catch to feed a growing family. Unfortunately, they are like buses, none come for ages, then three at once, so it's hard to predict and, well, panning to follow them in is a technique I've yet to master.
Catching them as they leave a perch is the best I have managed thus far and even then there is a lot of waiting involved. Inevitably I look away for the instant they choose to go, missing my chance.
I was going to clone out the perch, but I forgot you need to do that first in LR, before applying adjustments, because otherwise remnants remain. So I decided to leave it to show where the bird launched off.
