Where's The Ripcord
I happened to look up and saw the heron fly into the willow which I thought unusual. I think this maybe a juvenile, just judging by its size. It didn't hang around long before launching itself off into space without opening its wings.
Perhaps the young heron saw something meal-worthy in the water. I saw it again on the fallen trunk of the willow, the feathers on its head standing up. An exhilarating dive maybe.
As much as photography makes me look more, I often wonder how much I miss because I'm looking through the lens instead of experiencing life.
