Friday: #30DaysWild - Nature’s Surprises

Woke at 6:30 this morning feeling refreshed and was ecstatic when I heard the rain! It rained on and off all day, Kevin the Postman wasn’t impressed because he said the water wasn’t running down the hill but I like this gentle rain, my Dad would have called it “glaw tyfu” - growing rain! :-)

A few days ago I mixed some seeds up and scattered them onto patches of bare soil where I’d pulled dead plants from - the seeds have started growing, always a surprise :-))

I noticed the little Bee near the patch of seedlings and just left it alone. It was only when I looked at a larger photo that I saw how very cute it was :-)

Whilst I was waiting for the kettle to boil to make an afternoon coffee I walked down to check on the veg patch behind the greenhouse, the chicory is so tall and the wind has blown it over and the other veggies are all looking ok. I was just turning to leave when I saw a clump of raspberry canes with ripe fruit, the blackbirds had actually spotted the fruit before me - I picked a palm full for myself and left the rest for the birds, as I always do! :-))

Watched this episode of Who Do You Think You Are on iPlayer, amazing story https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001n3ps
