Saturday: #30DaysWild - Beautiful Grasses
Raining this morning when I woke up, light rain continued for a few hours but it stopped and brightened up by late morning :-)
Our T called me on FaceTime and there was an extra person in the garden with them … MrD had been to a motorbike event and stayed on the camping field, then decided to visit our little family before starting his long drive home.
I decided to drive to Lidl for a “big shop” - someone has decided to “reorganise” the shop layout, but I eventually found almost everything on my list plus a few treats and most importantly the big jars of Spanish Chickpeas are back in stock and so very delicious in curries, veggie stew and to make hummus :-))
Watched “Texas” at Glastonbury on iPlayer (recorded yesterday) and another compilation of the “Best of Glastonbury 2017”
At teatime one of the male blackbirds was standing on the wall with a ripe raspberry in its beak - probably tea for one of the many chicks :-))
I’d picked a handful of raspberries mid-afternoon, a few were dropped onto the ground for the wildlife!
Decided to Blip the grasses which I’m looking at through the living room window - there are 3 or 4 different types, they add interest to the flowers and the birds will eat the seeds - the Goldfinch are very fond of Bowles Golden Grass and have been eating the seeds a few weeks ago.
It’s been a very long day, enjoy your Saturday night …
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
