Kite Festival - Morecambe
What a great day out we had! Frank had seen a Kite Festival advertised so we drove to Morecambe.
There was so much to see there - not only kites but side shows too.
Everyone was smiling and having fun. It was perfect weather for the kites but not for me - it was blowing a (warm) gale!
The bottom right picture in the main collage was a teddy bear holding on to his rainbow coloured kite.
My favourites were the Lady Lydia boat with the seagull hand puppet. They were so funny.
We were home by about 3 pm and then it was the Hellifield Beer festival at the village hall. For £6.50 entrance fee you got a commemorative half pint glass, 2 drinks and a programme. I decided to have cider as I’m trying to go gluten free. I wish I’d had the beer! Both ciders I tried were :-(].
As it was all in the village hall with no fridges and no Co2 equipment it was warm and flat. I could cope with that if it was beer but not cider. I brought my 2nd drink home and I’ve put it out for the slugs.I didn’t stay very long as I was tired and needed to water the garden and feed Bella but it was a lovely sociable event.
Book and bedtime now, so, Goodnight! :-) X
