Isn't it funny - you live in a place for almost five years and then, in the space of a weekend, you find two really nice pubs quite close by, that you never knew existed?!

We had a lovely meal last night at the Laurie Arms at Haugh of Urr - and then today, after the final SongWave Concert, we had a drink at the Masonic Arms in Gatehouse-of-Fleet.  At both, we had a warm welcome and were made to feel very much at home.

I'm sure we'll return ..................!
