Bee on marigold

I was happy to see this bee on a marigold with early morning dew. I've found 2 dead bees recently, not sure why they died. We haven't seen many in the garden yet.
I watered the garden then Renata helped me deadhead some of the flowers. She and I went for a walk down Xwaaqw'um, lovely in the shade. It was later than I usually walk there, and there were plenty of other people out enjoying this beautiful place on a summer's day. When we got home, I made scrambled eggs benny and G had made a fruit salad while we were walking. We enjoyed sitting on the porch before Renata had to leave to catch the ferry home. So good to have her visit, always enjoy our time with her.
