Reaching For The Good Stuff

I saw the muskrat's head as he swam along the inlet, thinking that's as much as I would see of him. But no, as he came to this overhanging nannyberry, he reached up and pulled himself out of the water revealing his full length including tail. Truly rat like.

After munching there awhile he dropped back to the water and continued with the remaining leaves he had broken off, before making for the shore to tear into a bunch of grass.

Not the clearest of shots because of the intervening branches and the light was not terribly helpful.
