My friend Phil
I came to London yesterday with John W. to have a meeting with Phil, who was a colleague in the 1980s. I left the film making business but Phil is still at it! He is a wonderfully friendly, amusing down to earth person who handles pressure realy well.
Now he is working for a company supplying film and video equipment for the features and tv industries as a specialist technician in optics, and electronics. He had kindly agreed to meet John to see if he could help with advice for the next stages of testing John's 3D microscopy moving it from the still image phase into video recording.
We met in Camden, my old patch where Phil and I worked together, and I took John around my old haunts and explained some background to the film making business. John showed Phil examples of his 3D imagery when we met and then they proceeded to discuss possible technical options offered by the latest equipment. While they talked and thought about the more technical stuff, I snapped a couple of pictures of Phil. It was a delight to meet him again after so long, and I know John got a lot from the meeting. Lets see where it takes us!
