The Bisley Well Dressing
No time to write up the event properly. I will do so tomorrow hopefully. But this was the day of the well dressing, Ascension Day, and after the procession from the church service down the lanes through Bisley village, the children dressed in their blue uniforms of old followed the brass band and the priests to the wells.
They carried all the flowers, which were quickly mounted all over the well head before a another short service. The children were asked to stay and have photos taken so I duly joined in. I rather liked this picture when they had relaxed and started to play together.
